This is the final poem of my LIZARD LICK TRILOGY which has been a few years in the making for the Mayor, the township, and my YouTube Channel. Beginning with my folkloric poetic rendition of LIZARD LICK (aka ODE TO LIZARD LICK) which is simply intended to convey the spirit and good humor of the people and their Mayor and plays on the origins of how their famous crossroads got its name. THE MAYOR OF LIZARD LICK is absolutely biographical and true to my longtime friendship with Charles Wood and what he is all about as a person and the Mayor who has done much to bring both fame and legend to this unique locale that I have also called home for a time amid my travels. THE SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON is the final touch in this collective oral tapestry and reveals the Mayor’s great uncle, the legendary, Connie B. Gay who was the Founding Father of The Country Music Association and is renowned for his accomplishments worldwide. I dedicate these inspired works to the township itself and the Wood family of which I have long been a part THANKS to our beloved Ma Pearl who really got my wheels turning to get this done. Blessings and love and light to all.
